Whitchurch Blues F.C are a Cardiff and District Football Association division 1 team, we were formed in 2005 after a falling out with former club The Villa.
Starting our life in Cardiff and District Division 4 we have fast become a fairly successful club, in our first season we were promoted as division 4 runners up 2005/06 and cup semi-finalists playing an attractive passing style of football
Our second season proved to be more successful in which we were crowned champions of division 3 with games to spare and were finalists in the cup norrowly beaten by Suburbian Sports.
In our third season The Blues blew a bit hot and cold by getting knocked out of all cup competitions at early stages, we were strong enough in the league to be promoted for a third season running despite stuttereing with some dodgy results.
Hopefully the 2008/09 season will be another successful season for us despite some big players leaving for pastures new. We have been active in the transfer market this year with a wave of new signings on bosman deals.
Season 2008/09 turned out to be a disappointment for The Blues in which we just escaped relegation to the Cardiff and District Division 2, and were knocked out of the cup's at early stages.
